Pyotr Ilyich TCHAIKOVSKY Piano Concerto No.1
Sergei PROKOFIEV Romeo and Juliet (excerpts)

Asher Fisch conductor
Lukáš Vondráček piano

Be swept off your feet with this sublimely romantic program. Shakespeare’s timeless tale of star-crossed lovers is both tender and tragic, and Prokofiev’s soaring themes will leave you yearning for the rapture of first love.

Czech pianist Lukáš Vondráček, one of the “greatest pianistic talents of our times”, performs Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto, a virtuosic showpiece and all-time audience favourite.

Franck’s dramatic symphonic poem completes this concert of stormy passions and sweeping melodies that will have you falling head over heels.
