If you are looking for a simple, easy and tax-deductible way to support the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, workplace giving might just be for you!
You have the option to make regular or one-off donations from your pre-tax salary. You will receive immediate tax benefits for your gifts while supporting the inspiring work we do for communities across Western Australia.
By giving regular donations, you help WASO build sustainable, long-term access to quality live music for communities across Western Australia. In addition, your employer may choose to match your donation dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your support.
How to donate
If your company or organisation already has a workplace giving program in place and you wish to support WASO, contact your human resources department to ask them about joining the program.
If your employer does not have a workplace giving program in place, now is your time to shine! You can be the one to kick-start one. Contact your community affairs, corporate social responsibility or human resources department to suggest a workplace giving program be established and for WASO to be nominated as a charity partner.
For more information on how to include WASO in your workplace giving program, please contact Jacinta Sirr-Williams, WASO Philanthropy & Annual Giving Manager by emailing sirrj@waso.com.au or calling 08 9326 0014.

FAQs
How do I participate?
Simply complete the WASO Workplace Giving Form and submit to your HR or payroll department and send a copy via email to philanthropy@waso.com.au or mail to: WASO Philanthropy, PO Box 3041, East Perth WA 6892
What are the tax implications?
You will receive an immediate tax benefit as the donation is made from your pre-tax salary.
How will this affect my tax return?
You will not be able to claim the donation as a tax deduction in your tax return as you will have already received the tax benefit via the salary sacrifice arrangement.
Can I make a one-off donation?
Yes. You can choose to make a donation weekly, fortnightly or monthly from each pay round, or as a one-off gift.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. Please contact the WASO Philanthropy Team to inform them you do not wish to be acknowledged publicly for your donation.
Why should WASO be fundraising? Isn’t WASO funded by ticket sales?
Ticket sales only cover 25% of the cost to stage a symphony orchestra concert. Without the growth of philanthropy and other income sources the Orchestra’s activities would not be able to be maintained.
