WASO is grateful to receive the assistance of over 60 regular volunteers, who provide support to the Orchestra’s staff both in the administration office and during performances.
Volunteering with WASO is a unique opportunity to be more involved with the life of our Orchestra and offers a special insight into what occurs 'behind the scenes'.
Participants in WASO’s volunteering program support us in a number of different ways. In the office, our band of volunteers assist with mail-outs and events, at Perth Concert Hall, they greet our audiences with a warm smile and a concert program and answer any questions that audience members may have. As the first point of contact for concert-goers who may be new to the Orchestra, the volunteer team makes newcomers feel welcome and we are very grateful for the role they play.
We are not currently looking for any new volunteers, but please do feel free register your interest for future opportunities with Naomi Alban, Marketing Coordinator on 9326 0021 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Patrons & Friends Committee
The WASO Patrons & Friends Committee is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers and is a wonderful way to be involved in the WASO Patrons & Friends community. The Committee members meet on a monthly basis, organise four fundraising events per year to fund the Friends of WASO Scholarship and act as ambassadors for WASO in the larger community.
A General Meeting is held once a year, giving WASO Patrons, Friends and Bequestors the chance to nominate and join the Committee. The 2019 General Meeting was held on Wednesday 26 June, 5pm at Perth Concert Hall.
If you would like further information about the Patrons & Friends Committee, please contact Liam Smith on 9326 0016.
