WASO will perform Thomas Newman’s epic score live to Bond on the big screen in this ‘WASO at the Movies’ event.

WASO’s James Bond Concert Series launches into 2024 with Spectre in Concert.

Daniel Craig returns with more heart-pounding action and espionage in this gripping film, which plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen, whilst WASO perform Thomas Newman’s super-charged original score, live on stage.

Australian conductor Jessica Gethin returns to conduct the performances, following on from conducting WASO in Casino Royale in Concert and Skyfall in Concert.

The film’s soundtrack includes Sam Smith’s original song ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, which won a Golden Globe and Academy Award for the film’s title sequence. The song was also the first Bond theme to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart.

In Spectre, a cryptic message from Bond’s past leads him through a web of deceit and corruption. After infiltrating a secret meeting, 007 uncovers the existence of the sinister organization Spectre. Needing the help of the daughter of an old nemesis, he embarks on a mission to find her. As Bond confronts the enigmatic mastermind behind Spectre and its dark secrets, he discovers a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.

Daniel Craig returns as the inimitable 007, facing off against the villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz). From Mexico City’s colourful Day of the Dead celebration to the ancient streets of Rome, and from the dazzling ski slopes of Switzerland to sizzling sands of North Africa, Bond must race against time to stop Blofeld from taking total control of the world’s intelligence agencies for his own nefarious ends.

Léa Seydoux stars as the alluring Madeleine Swann, and Ralph Fiennes returns as M, along with Ben Wishaw as the stalwart quartermaster Q and Naomie Harris as the resourceful Moneypenny.
