Classical Brilliance in Mandurah and Bunbury

Our 2026 touring season begins in February with Concertmaster Laurence Jackson taking centre stage in a concert that celebrates classical music at its finest. Audiences will enjoy Mozart’s radiant Fourth Violin Concerto, Mahler’s rich reorchestration of Beethoven’s stormy Serioso String Quartet, Dvořák’s serenely beautiful Nocturne in B, and the unmatched grandeur of Haydn’s Symphony No.102, one of his most inventive and energetic works.

Mandurah | Saturday 7 February 7.30pm, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre
Bunbury | Sunday 8 February 5pm, Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre

Sweeping Epics in the Great Southern

In August, Principal Conductor Asher Fisch leads WASO in Albany for two exhilarating concerts. Tchaikovsky’s enchanting Romeo and Juliet, Prokofiev’s blazing First Piano Concerto with internationally renowned pianist Konstantin Shamray, and Beethoven’s radiant Seventh Symphony form a program of drama, passion, and unstoppable energy. Whether you’re a classical music novice or a seasoned listener, this is the perfect opportunity to experience your State Orchestra live in concert.

Albany | Friday 28 August 7.30pm & Saturday 29 August 2pm, Albany Entertainment Centre

Tragedy and Triumph in the Grand Finale

We return to the South West in September for our final regional performance of the year. With Asher Fisch at the podium, prepare for an emotional journey from Tchaikovsky’s brooding Fifth Symphony to Puccini’s poignant Manon Lescaut, and Lachlan Skipworth’s virtuosic Flute Concerto (performed by, and written especially for, WASO’s Principal Flute, Andrew Nicholson).

Bunbury | Sunday 27 September 5pm, Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre
