Our favourite artists, their favourite music, your favourite orchestra.

Our new season opens with a celebration of some incredibly talented West Australian musicians. We welcome Paul O’ Neill, James Clayton and Shuan Hern Lee to perform their favourite works in a concert bursting with classical hits. From Mozart to Puccini and Tchaikovsky to Gershwin – this concert has something for everyone!

We join forces with St George’s Cathedral to present Bach’s St Matthew Passion, a supremely dramatic masterpiece first heard on Good Friday in 1727. Local star Joseph Nolan takes to the stage to conduct a stellar cast including Andrew Foote, Sara Macliver and Fiona Campbell. This performance will have you at the edge of your seat.

Guy Noble returns to conduct and present 2019’s Last Night of the Proms with a best of British bent. Join us as we raise the roof at Perth Concert Hall with a grand “Hurrah” of flag- waving favourites. Joined by mezzo soprano Jacqueline Dark and the WASO Chorus, the concert will come to an unmissable end with the traditional sing-a-long including Jerusalem and Rule, Britannia.

We’re delighted to collaborate with the students of Australian National Academy of Music to present Side by Side, a new performance where the Orchestra is joined on stage by some of Australia’s most talented young artists. Together they will perform Shostakovich’s Symphony No.7 Leningrad, an extraordinary work that explores heroism and humanity.

Extraordinary music.
Exhilarating performances.
