In 2018, HOP celebrated ten years of partnership with the School of Special Educational Needs: Medical and Mental Health (SSEN:MMH) and moved to the new Perth Children's Hospital.
WASO works with the School to provide emotionally supportive experiences, a connection to community and access to The Arts Learning Area. This is achieved through presentation of a broad range of performance and participatory music programs in the Auditorium and public spaces, as well as visits to individuals in classrooms and on the wards, with performances broadcast on Starlight TV.
WASO’s Community Outreach Program is proudly presented by Act-Belong-Commit Presented in partnership with the School of Special Educational Needs: Medical & Mental Health (Department of Education) and Starlight Children's Foundation.
“I liked the tune of the trumpet and the music. It made me feel ... STRONGER!”
