Miguel Harth-Bedoya conductor

Set your heart racing with sultry Spanish rhythms and thrilling music inspired by Mayan folklore, all under the baton of acclaimed Peruvian conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya.

Inspired by the gardens of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and capturing the essence of their “fragrance of magnolias, singing of birds, and gushing of fountains”, Rodrigo’s concerto is his most popular work.

Chano Urueta’s 1939 film La noche de los Mayas is celebrated for Revueltas’ vivid score. Building from a brooding but powerful ritualistic opening, the music reaches a mesmerising apex with an eruption of percussion.
