Let yourself be swept into the night by the Australian premiere of Samy Moussa’s hauntingly beautiful Nocturne, and enjoy Ukrainian-born Australian pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk’s virtuosic performance of Prokofiev’s dazzling Third Piano Concerto.
Roussel’s ballet Bacchus et Ariane depicts the passions of ancient Gods in lavish orchestral colours before Ravel’s La valse provides an earth-shattering climax with a twisted and utterly enthralling finale.
