A sonic feast from the WASO Brass

In our final Ensemble Edition concert, members of the WASO brass section come together to perform works by two 19th-century German composers who changed the face of opera and trumpet playing forever.

Oskar Böhme was acclaimed as both a trumpeter and composer. His Sextet for brass remains one of his most popular and frequently performed works. Wagner’s final, mystical opera Parsifal draws inspiration from the legend of the Holy Grail. Filled with transformative, mesmerising music this arrangement for Brass will resound in the glorious acoustic of the Government House Ballroom.
