Orchestra Coordinator

Orchestra Coordinator

The Role

The Orchestra Coordinator supports the Orchestra Manager in managing musicians and delivering on the personnel requirements for all orchestral activities, programs, and projects. The position is focused on the engagement of casual musicians and providing administrative support to the Orchestra Manager. The role also involves attending rehearsals and performances across a range of venues.

Skills Required
To be successful you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple tasks within assigned timeframes;
  • Possess a current Australian driver’s licence and access to a working vehicle;
  • Able to learn new software systems quickly;
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
  • A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the team and display a proactive approach to achieving objectives;
  • A high level of attention to detail in both an operational and administrative capacity;
  • Musical knowledge and experience;
  • A willingness to be hands-on and apply a practical approach to tasks; and
  • A willingness to work on weekends and outside standard business hours.
