Viola

Kierstan Arkleysmith

Viola

Kierstan joined WASO in 2000.

Kierstan began her association with WASO as a casual viola player in 2000 and became a full time member of the viola section in 2002. Prior to this she was a school music teacher and outdoor enthusiast.

She grew up in regional NSW where she learnt to count sheep, herd goats and play the violin. She attended school in NSW and in Victoria and completed tertiary music studies in Tasmania.

Her interests are many, varied and continually evolving.

Kierstan currently plays on a viola made in 2006 by David Rattray.
