Join Echo the Gecko on a musical adventure across the high seas in this lively, interactive concert designed especially for children. When Echo's afternoon nap takes an unexpected turn, he wakes aboard the Good Ship Symphony, where a wild storm has scattered the orchestra's music across the ocean. With the help of Captain Mark, Chloe the Tuba-Playing Mermaid and a crew of colourful sailors, Echo sets off to reunite the orchestra and discover where the music has gone.
Each magical island introduces a different family of the orchestra, giving students the chance to hear the unique sounds of strings, woodwind, brass and percussion up close. Along the way they'll sing, clap, row, dance, laugh and become part of the story as they help Echo complete his mission.
Packed with audience participation, memorable characters and beautiful live performances, the concert weaves together much-loved classical favourites by composers including Mozart, Grieg, Holst and Saint-Saëns with catchy original songs written especially for the show. As children explore the sights and sounds of the orchestra, they'll discover how every instrument has an important role to play and how, just like a great team, wonderful things happen when everyone works together.
Full of imagination, humour and musical discovery, Echo the Gecko's Great Sea Adventure is a joyful introduction to the orchestra that will have families singing long after they leave the concert.
