Annual Giving
Philanthropy has the power to sustain, build and enrich our lives.
Donations are vital for WASO to present inspiring and joyful concerts and continue to positively change the lives of so many people in Western Australia. Over the last thirteen years, donations to our Annual Giving fund have become fundamental to the daily operations of the Orchestra, covering our core operating costs.
As a not-for-profit, charitable organisation, we are extremely proud to be supported by many individuals who, each year, renew their gift to our Annual Giving fund. Your Orchestra would be a very different one without this ongoing support.
Gifts to WASO’s Annual Giving fund support our ability to achieve artistic excellence, secure the finest guest conductors and soloists, present a diverse program of Education & Community Engagement activities across WA and work in partnership with Western Australia’s opera and ballet companies.
Annual giving levels
Donations of tax-deductible, annual gifts are acknowledged as follows:
- Principal Conductor's Circle: $20,000+
- Impresario Patron: $10,000 - $19,999
- Maestro Patron: $5,000 - $9,999
- Virtuoso Patron: $2,500 - $4,999
- Principal Patron: $1,000 - $2,499
- Tutti Patron: $500 - $999
- Friend: $40 - $499
Patrons
All Patrons receive a copy of our Encore newsletter, are invited to exclusive events with our musicians throughout the year and are presented with a specially crafted WASO Patron pin from The Perth Mint. WASO proudly acknowledges Patrons in concert programs and on our website, unless anonymity is requested.
Friends
WASO Friends are kept up to date with all the Orchestra’s latest developments, receiving a copy of our Encore newsletter three times a year, as well as regular e-news updates and are invited to a diverse calendar of special events every year. We are proud to be supported by so many passionate individuals.

Regular giving
You can now choose to give regular donations to WASO and support your Orchestra on an ongoing basis. Regular donations are simple and easy to set up, and every gift makes a difference. Your chosen amount is automatically debited from your credit card and you can choose to give every month, 3 months, 6 months or annually. Your regular donation is secure and can be changed, paused or cancelled at any time. At the end of the financial year, you will receive a receipt for your contributions.
