Community & Education

Music that reaches every heart, everywhere

Enriching lives through music.

Beyond the mainstage, WASO is committed to developing the next generation of musicians, composers and conductors. From inspiring school performances that introduce children to orchestral music, to our prestigious Composition Project mentoring emerging composers, we create accessible pathways for musical discovery and participation.

Our outreach initiatives share live music experiences with those who cannot ordinarily access our Orchestra on the mainstage. Music for the Ages delivers chamber ensembles directly to older adults who are unable to attend mainstage concerts. Connect fosters intimate and interactive concerts for adults living with disabilities, and the Hospital Orchestra Project (HOP) brings the healing power of live music to the wards of Perth Children’s Hospital.

We invite you to join us in nurturing a musical ecosystem for our community that is both accessible and educational.
