Musical memories hit home for Lucy.

I am absolutely thrilled to be performing with the magnificent West Australian Symphony Orchestra. I have been a huge fan of theirs since I was a little girl. My mum took me to a WASO Baby Proms concert when I was very young and then my Nanna treated me to a grown-up WASO concert as soon as I was old enough, as she was also a fan. Listening to a Symphony Orchestra and particularly WASO quickly became my favourite escapism and reminder of pure beauty in the world, so to share WASO with you all, as well as my family and friends with a repertoire list including some of my most beloved pieces of music is a huge joy to me.
From the moment WASO's Program Coordinator Natalie De Biasi, my husband Christopher Horsey (Director and Co-Creator) and I first began bouncing around song ideas, it became clear that this was going to be a delightful assortment of sweet musical treats, mixed in with some jazz classics and Disney magic. We wanted to create a show that not only music theatre fans would enjoy but Mums, Nannas, other grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, fairy godmothers and fairy godfathers could bring their younger music lovers along to and introduce them to the great WASO, as I had been. I hope there is something in there for everyone!
Thank you so much to the wonderful Natalie De Biasi and all at WASO for making this dream that is so dear to my heart a reality, and thank you to my mum and my late Nanna for introducing me to WASO all those years ago.
