The University of Western Australia (UWA) and WASO have a relationship that brings together the highest quality music education with some of the state's most talented and experienced professional musicians.
As our only Tertiary Education partner, UWA offers a joint Masters in Orchestral Performance and provides students with direct access to WASO musicians through mentoring, individual lessons, attendance at open rehearsals as well as other opportunitiesthat provide ongoing training to best prepare young musicians for a professional career. New in 2019, student will work with WASO in two exciting creative development projects. Recordings of Brass Fanfares will be played at a number of performance venues throughout Perth Festival as the result of a mentoring project with composer and incoming Festival Director (for 2020) Iain Grandage.
