Join EChO - our Education Chamber Orchestra for fun-filled musical adventures in the Wardle Room at the Perth Concert Hall!
Children (and their grown-ups!) will be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra as they clap, sing and dance their way through stories and songs, well-known favourites and famous classics in these fun and engaging programs. Stay at the end of the performance to meet the WASO musicians and try some of our have-a-go instruments.
Saturday 2 and Saturday 9 November
Wardle Room, Perth Concert Hall
9.45am March Along with EChO!
Continuing the fun of Pop! Goes the Orchestra, presenter Libby Hammer joins the EChO musicians to invite our youngest audience members (and their grown-ups!) to March Along with EChO! Featuring a super fun selection of favourite well-known nursery rhymes alongside exciting original works written especially by Libby. Join in on the action with sing alongs, body percussion and much, much more.
11.15am Captain Dynamics and the Supersonic Symphony
Meet our fearless hero Captain Dynamics (Libby Hammer) who is on a musical mission with EChO to fill the world with beautiful music for us all to enjoy. But sometimes the music is not what Captain Dynamics expects and she is caught off guard, with hilarious results! Come ‘behind the scenes’ as we discover the musical alphabet, learn the difference between major and minor keys, and hear how different tempi can take a song from very slow to supersonic speed.
(includes Performance and 'Meet the Musician' opportunity)
