Buses to UWA are frequent, covering routes from the City of Perth, Subiaco, Morley and along Stirling Highway. The Transperth JourneyPlanner provides up-to-date information to help you find the best route. Bus services alight on Stirling Highway at the northern end of the campus, a short (3 minute) walk from Winthrop Hall.
Parking at UWA is free every day after 5pm and all day on weekends. Please check parking signs on arrival. Paid parking via the EasyPark app applies Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
The closest car parks to Winthrop Hall are all within a 3-5 minute walk to the venue:
- Car Park 1 (UWA Recreation Centre): 3 minute walk
- Car Park 52 (Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery): 3 minute walk
- Car Park 51 (Robert St Building): 5 minute walk
- Car Park 5 (The University Club of WA): 5 minute walk
Car Park 5 is the preferred parking location for patrons who have pre-concert dinner reservations at The University Club of WA. See Food & Beverage Options below for more details.

Lift access – There are a dozen steps at the main entry to the auditorium. Patrons may use a lift from ground level, which is located on the south-west corner of the building. Access to the lift lobby is through an automated swing door activated by pressing the green button. An accessible toilet is also located next to the lift. Please note, Winthrop Hall gallery seating is not accessible by lift.
Wheelchair seating – These are available on booking, and are located on the outside ends of the rows. If you have booked standard tickets and your accessibility needs have changed, please advise the WASO team by emailing boxoffice@waso.com.au or calling 08 9326 0000.
ACROD parking bays are located at Car Parks 1, 5 and 51 and are subject to availability. A limited number of pre-arranged Accessible parking bays are available to ACROD Parking Permit holders by request through the WASO Ticketing & Customer Service team by calling 08 9326 0000. Pre-arranged Accessible parking bays should be requested at least seven days prior to each performance and your request must be confirmed by WASO before your arrival.
Companion cards are accepted for all WASO performances at Winthrop Hall.
Winthrop Hall is not equipped with a hearing loop.
The University Club of WA, available from 5.30pm
Conveniently located on the UWA campus, a short walk from Winthrop Hall, The University Club provides you with a fantastic, sit-down dining experience before the concert. Your WASO concert ticket gives you an access-pass to The University Club’s dining outlets on the day of the performance.
Club Restaurant & Lounge Bar (Reservations Required) – Treat yourself to a dining experience of casual elegance with a choice of one, two or three-course menu options with a matched glass of Vasse Felix wine, at The University Club Restaurant. Club Café & Bar (Reservations Preferred) – Enjoy relaxed, counter-service dining with an extensive à la carte menu at the Club Café & Bar. An express menu has been specially designed for WASO concert-goers to ensure you have enough time to enjoy your meal before the performance. View a sample menu here. WASO Subscribers can waive the joining fee for a University Club Membership to unlock discounts on food and drinks at the Club Café & Bar, as well as other Member benefits. University Club Members pay a monthly subscription fee of $29.42. Learn more and apply here.
Winthrop Hall Bars, available from 6pm
Drinks are available from the bars located outside the main entrance of Winthrop Hall and in the Undercroft. A Grab & Go menu with sandwiches, tartlets, sushi and mezze is available from the Undercroft Bar. View a sample menu here.
Drinks purchased at these bars may be taken into the auditorium. Interval drinks can be pre-ordered prior to the performance.
The WASO Mobile Box Office is located inside the Winthrop Hall foyer, open 90 minutes before each performance and during the interval.
