Join us for a musical journey of mystery, passion, and resilience. Violinist Benjamin Beilman returns to WASO with Mendelssohn’s virtuosic Violin Concerto. In her first appearance with the Orchestra, conductor Anja Bihlmaier leads an exhilarating program that opens with Melody Eötvös’ The Saqqara Bird, an evocative work inspired by an ancient Egyptian artefact, and closes with the powerful emotional arc of Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5.
