The Role
The Operations Co-ordinator supports the Operations & Logistics Manager in running the productions and events planned for delivery by WASO. The position is production-focused and supports the Operations & Logistics Manager in setting up and packing up rehearsals and events for WASO as well as maintaining our warehouse and storage facility in Belmont.
Skills Required
To be successful you will need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with the management of logistics for our various locations that include:
- Preparing load lists for our freight movements
- Supervising the transportation of equipment and instruments
- Maintaining our asset register
- Procuring instrument hire, piano tuning and St Johns ambulance when required
- Possess a current Australian drivers licence and access to a working vehicle
- Strong administration skills
- Performing maintenance and repairs to WASO assets and equipment
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a team player and a proven ability to work well with creative and artistic persons;
- Excellent organisational skills, an effective problem solver with demonstrated conflict management and negotiation skills;
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Understanding of current Workplace Health & Safety legislation
- Great interpersonal skills: active listening, empathy and teamwork
- A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the team and display a proactive approach to achieving objectives;
- A high level of attention to detail in both an operational and administrative capacity;
- A willingness to be hands-on and apply a practical approach to tasks; and
- A willingness to work on weekends and outside standard business hours.
