The Role
West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is seeking a skilled marketing and communications professional to support their high performing Philanthropy team. The Donor Engagement and Communications Coordinator works closely with our Philanthropy team to support our private giving programs, deepening the connection of current donors through meaningful stewardship whilst working concurrently to cultivate new support to grow WASO’s giving community.
The Donor Engagement and Communications Coordinator will:
- Administer and coordinate the management and communication to all WASO donors
- Coordinate WASO’s regular giving program and donors giving under $500be the primary contact for WASO’s donors
- Assist WASO’s Annual Giving campaign end-to-end
As a visible representative of WASO, the Donor Engagement & Communications Coordinator will champion a culture of philanthropy across our community. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, experienced in CRM systems (preferably Tessitura), and skilled in content creation, stakeholder communication, and relationship building.
Skills Required
Confident, personable and persuasive, you will contribute meaningfully to WASO’s stakeholder engagement efforts through high quality communications. To be successful, you will have tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, ideally with an understanding of fundraising principles in a not-for-profit environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and audience engagement
- Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail in donor data management, financial processing, and stakeholder coordination
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team
- High level of computer literacy, including experience with CRM platforms and data reporting tools
