Jane Serrangeli
Violin
Joined WASO in 1995.
Jane Serrangeli studied violin with former WASO violinist, Margaret Gunson while in high school and was selected to play a concerto with orchestra in her final year. While obtaining a Bachelor of Music at UWA she was a member of a piano trio that won the Margot Bello chamber music prize. She was a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra European Tour in 1988.
After leaving University she attended music courses in Spain and was selected to play the closing concerts in France and Israel. She learned about violin making and restoring in Italy.
A proud member of WASO since 1995, Jane enjoys the huge variety of concerts and the interesting people she meets through the company. Other interests include travelling, cooking and staying fit.
