Graeme first performed with WASO as Guest Concertmaster during the 2014 season and holds the position of Principal 1st Violin (Acting Assistant Concertmaster).
During the 2015/16 seasons, Graeme performed in the role of Associate Concertmaster and has previously held the positions of Associate Concertmaster with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Sub-Principal 2nd Violin with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Born in Melbourne, Graeme graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Victorian College of the Arts and spent two years on full scholarship at the Australian National Academy of Music. His principal teachers were Alice Waten and Julian Quirit. As a soloist and chamber musician, Graeme has performed in Australia, New Zealand and throughout much of Asia and has directed ensembles in the Melbourne and Adelaide Festivals.
As a teacher, Graeme has been a lecturer at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide, University of Western Australia and WAAPA. He has also tutored the string sections of Adelaide, West Australian and Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestras.
