Christine joined WASO in 1984.

Christine was born in Perth and started her musical journey with the clarinet, piano and flute before discovering double bass at the age of 15.

Christine played opera and ballet with the WA Arts Orchestra for 5 years at His Majesty's Theatre. Christine also played with the Australian Youth Orchestra and took part in the orchestra's first tour of Europe.

Christine has been teaching double bass for over 35 years and currently teaches at several schools around Perth, tutoring students from the age of 8 on small double basses, through to tertiary age students.

Christine has toured every state in Australia with the double bass and has toured with WASO to Singapore and China.

When she is not on stage, Christine loves spending time with her husband and two children and cooking for friends and family.
