Eve Silver began learning cello at the age of 8. She started on piano at the age of 3 and continued both instruments until focusing solely on the cello after high school. Eve completed her Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2004 under the direction of Nelson Cooke and upon completion studied at the Australian National Academy of Music for 2 years.
Since completing her studies, Eve has performed with the Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra's and toured nationally and internationally with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Eve has previously taught at WAAPA and performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra. She has been a member of WASO as Tutti Cello for almost 13 years. Currently, Eve is performing on a cello made by David Rattray loaned to WASO by Janet Holmes à Court. In her spare time, Eve enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young daughters. Her husband is also a member of WASO as tutti trumpet.
