FREE COMMUNITY EVENT
WASO returns to the Esplanade for the fifth year to present an exciting free event for the people of Perth.
Principal Conductor Paul Daniel leads WASO in a spectacular farewell to the Perth Esplanade, performing favourites such as Beethoven’s Fifth, Carmina Burana: O Fortuna and the music from Star Wars. Don’t miss Tchaikovsky’s explosive 1812 Overture with the Swan Bells and the 7 Field Battery of the Australian Army Reserve Artillery.

View the cannons of the 7 Field Battery of The Australian Army Reserve Artillery up close between 5.30pm – 7pm.
Members of the Australian Branch of the 501st Legion will be available for a meet and greet from 6.30pm – 7pm. Come along early to have your photo taken with the Storm Troopers!
Additional Transperth train, bus and ferry services will be available for the event. Transperth’s ferry service between Perth and South Perth will be extended to 11pm. For more information visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au
For the first time, Symphony in the City will be broadcast live to regional Western Australia via the Westlink network. Residents of Broome and Esperance will be able to watch the concert at special screenings at Sun Pictures, Broome and The Esperance Civic Centre.
These are free screenings but you will require a complimentary ticket for entry.

In addition to these screenings, regional audiences will also be able to watch the concerts at community resource centres across WA or from home for anyone with a satellite dish and decoder that picks up Westlink (Channel 23).
