Instruments

Instruments Fund

How would you like to see ‘your’ instrument as part of a WASO performance?

Specialist instruments enable the orchestra to maintain its commitment to artistic excellence, to perform unique and historic repertoire and to perfect our distinct ‘WASO sound’. It is for this reason that WASO regularly seeks funds to purchase quality hand-crafted instruments for the orchestra as the need arises. Quality and particular instruments therefore eliminate barriers that may compromise the Orchestra’s ability to perform repertoire and at the standard that it aspires to.

Being the most tangible of gifts, donations towards WASO’s Instrument Fund enable Patrons to regularly see and hear ‘their’ instrument on stage at Perth Concert Hall, or know that it is travelling through the vast state of WA bringing musical joy to regional and remote Western Australians as part of our Community Engagement and Education activities.

Patrons purchasing or contributing to an instrument for the Orchestra will be offered the opportunity to ‘meet’ the instrument and its player and learn more about the instrument they have subsidised.

WASO will drive appeals for particular instruments from time to time but we welcome donations towards the Instrument Fund at any time. You can either fully cover the cost of an instrument or contribute according to your capacity.

Our Acting Executive Manager, Philanthropy, Sarah Tompkin, is looking forward to hearing from you to talk about your various options on 9326 0017 or tompkins@waso.com.au
