WASO’s Excellence Circle underpins the Orchestra’s ability to be exceptional and continuously strive to achieve best practice across all its endeavours. The Excellence Circle is a network of well-connected WASO Patrons including long-term subscribers, business and community leaders who value WASO and the leadership role it plays in the Western Australian community. The Circle serves as a sounding board for new ideas and initiatives and provides a gateway to new funding networks for the Orchestra.
Committing to an annual contribution of $20,000 (with an invitation to renew annually), members of the Excellence Circle serve as ambassadors for the company and enjoy invitations to special WASO events and concert lounges. Excellence for this giving circle is not about being the ‘best orchestra’ or the ‘best in the region’, but about constantly striving for improvement across all WASO does.
Funding from the Excellence Circle is directed towards special projects that position WASO on the world stage as a dominant force in classical music by engaging new audiences and lifting the artistic bar. Previous events include WASO’s Beethoven Festival and Brahms Festival, and the giving circle will be supporting the upcoming two-year WASO and Wagner project. Funding also enables WASO to engage the finest guest artists and musicians and has permitted us to build performance management and feedback processes for our full-time musicians, developing a strong leadership culture within the Orchestra.
