Becoming a Friend of WASO is a wonderful way to learn more about WASO, get to know its musicians and enjoy specially organised events which all Patrons and Friends are invited to attend.    Keep up with the latest news through our newsletter, Encore and through our website at www.waso.com.au for the latest information on events.        

Support your Orchestra

Friends support WASO through the Friends of WASO Scholarship which aims to support career and skills development opportunities for full time Orchestra members in order to encourage high achievement and retain quality musicians in WA. The funds can be used to assist with travel, tuition, attendance at conferences and masterclasses.

Funds for the Scholarship are generated through proceeds from events created by the Patrons & Friends Committee, a volunteer team dedicated to building a range of engaging and inspiring events for this special community of supporters.

Become a volunteer

Many of our Friends volunteer their time and skills to help out in the Concert Hall and in the administration office providing valuable support to the WASO.
