Power and passion, sorrow and hope are expressed in the emotive music of Britten and Bernstein whose works were written to commemorate momentous events during WWII. At the heart of this program lies one of the greatest of all concerti. Elgar’s impassioned Cello Concerto with its meditative Adagio weaves its lyrical song in this program for Anzac Day.
The WASO Chorus is partnered by the Alcoa Foundation.
