Corporate Partnerships Coordinator – 12 month contract

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) fosters inspiration and passion for the arts throughout our community. WASO is the State’s busiest performing arts company with a strong portfolio of high-profile corporate partners made up of local, national and international brands. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Corporate Development, this is an outstanding full time opportunity to experience a dynamic organisation that fosters inspiration and passion for the arts throughout our community.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated sponsorship account coordinator to proactively service a portfolio of WASO’s corporate partnerships. Offering challenges along with professional development, you will foster strong relationships by delivering exceptional sponsorship service and maximising leveraging opportunities for a number of sponsors. You will also assist in identifying and developing new funding opportunities.

Skills Required
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in marketing, communications or business with proficiency managing sponsorship accounts or client relationships in a similar role.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • your innovative problem solving skills;
  • exceptional organisational skills; and
  • excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Philanthropy & Events Coordinator

The Role
As Philanthropy and Events Coordinator you will be a highly motivated, warm and friendly person with fundraising and events experience. You will provide essential support to the Philanthropy team’s fundraising goals through the execution of purposeful stewardship events and the processing of donations in a timely and accurate manner. You will also cultivate relationships by ensuring an accurate and informative database of prospects and donors is kept up to date. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Philanthropy you will assist in the research of potential prospects and creation of proposals, plans and events that will generate significant gifts.

Skills Required
To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications in either Arts, Business Administration, Marketing or Fundraising or equivalent demonstrated experience, as well as experience in an events environment.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • experience in corporate fundraising/philanthropy;
  • the ability to network amongst a broad demographic;
  • knowledge of or recent experience with CRM systems;
  • a high level of attention to detail;
  • strong interpersonal and writing skills; and
  • high level ethical standards of behaviour and good judgment.
