Systems and Database Manager

The Organisation
WASO is Western Australia’s largest and busiest performing arts organisation with a reputation for excellence, engagement and innovation. We are a not for profit company, funded through government, ticket revenue and the generous support of the community through corporate and philanthropic partnerships. Reporting to the CFO, Head of Business Services, this is an outstanding opportunity to experience a dynamic organisation and play a key role in managing the day-to-day business operations. 

The Role
WASO is looking for an experienced Systems and Database Manager who will be responsible for managing the integrity, analysis and development of our SQL Server based Tessitura database, to ensure a responsive ticketing and CRM tool that grows WASO’s patronage and yield. Supporting both WASO and WA Venue and Events you will be located at our Head Office on Hay Street whilst providing support and training to the Ticketing Team at Perth Concert Hall.

Skills Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally have 5 years’ experience in programming SQL Server database including T-SQL query language as well as a working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS). A working knowledge of Tessitura is considered an advantage but not essential.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in SQL Server database management, CRM database management and ticketing;
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills; 
• An ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities from administrative through to strategic; and
• A willingness and ability to work outside of standard business hours.

Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Role

WASO is looking for a creative marketing professional to join our Marketing Team in the position of Digital Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Marketing and working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of WASO’s digital marketing.

In this hands-on role your day to day activities will include coordinating website updates, creating email marketing campaigns; all content on WASO’s social media channels, developing innovative online advertising campaigns; monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of WASO’s online channels and assisting with WASO website re-development. Whilst there may occasionally be a requirement to work outside normal business hours, you will also enjoy a welcoming, flexible workplace and a strong and collaborative team environment.

Skills Required

This is a sales focussed role for someone with a passion for digital marketing. Your ability to multi-task with high-level attention to detail and an ability to work to strict deadlines is essential.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Current experience in a similar role, ideally within the arts or entertainment;
  • Qualifications in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or demonstrated experience;
  • Sound understanding of social media campaigns and marketing knowledge;
  • Demonstrated understanding of online behaviour and trends;
  • A highly professional communication style both written and verbal;
  • Recent experience in the use of Content Management Systems; and
  • The ability to multi-task, think creatively, problem solve and provide workable solutions.

Marketing Coordinator - Part time 30 hours


Perth Concert Hall is renowned for having one of the finest acoustics in the southern hemisphere. The concert hall is the home and serves as the primary performance venue for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), and hosts a number of diverse performances and events all year round.

The Role
Within the Venue Management Team we are seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator (four days per week) with strong leadership qualities to plan, develop, direct, execute and manage creative and strategic marketing campaigns which will promote the various events, programs, brands and products of the Perth Concert Hall.

Experience and Skills
To be successful in this role you must have a sound understanding of marketing principals and/or public relations. You must be able to think creatively and work to strict deadlines.

You will also need to demonstrate:
• Qualifications in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications;
• Strong attention to detail and high level copy writing skills;
• Good problem solving skills;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite; and
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
